Characterizing the role of CaMK-II in hematopoietic stem cell specification
Advisor: Sarah Rothschild, Ph.D., Life Sciences
Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase (CaMKII) is a well conserved group of genes that participate in early embryonic development, and its most abundantly expressed group of genes is camk2g1. It is the current target of our research to assess its role in HSC specification using a zebrafish model.
